I could see that Whitney Houston so desperately wanted to make a triumphant comeback and I was one of her many fans that wished her nothing but the best that life had to offer. Unfortunately, I viewed a documentary on her life and her effort to make a comeback shortly before her death and I noticed as she began to speak that her voice was very raspy and cracked almost on every syllable. I knew that her voice coach would have to be a magician to create that velvety and pure sound, which once flowed from Whitney’s vocal cords without effort. Whitney defined her entire life by her art, and I truly believe that she could not distinguish between “Whitney the Entertainer” from “Whitney the Person! " and somehow, although she had a large entourage constantly around her, she did not feel that “sense of security” too let her hair down, take off her makeup and just be “Whitney the Person!" and that’s sad!” Your life accomplishments are not defined by one mistake, but the overall successes along the way. It’s okay to be proud of the latest accomplishments of your career “but never allow your career to define who you are as a person, because you’re greater than that!”

When I saw the facial expression of CNN’s Don Lemon, who interrupted the special “Black in America: The New Promised Land-Silicon Valley” with breaking news, I knew something tragic had happened in America. My mind raced a mile a minute trying to figure out who had gone on to glory too soon. When Lemon announced the death of Whitney Houston, my mood last Saturday became somber. Much like after the death of Michael Jackson, I almost shed a tear thinking about growing up in the 1980s with their hit songs being constantly played by Magic 102 FM in Houston.;

It’s so sad because the love she had for her son was priceless. The thought that u can harm the very person that gave u life is sad. WhAt is this world coming to when children kill thie parents and then go to sleep wake up clean up and throw a party and drive ur moms car like nothing has happened is sick! And no nothing is wrong with his ass except he is a very selfish boy and only wanted what he wanted and nothing else. My prayers go out to the family and please try to stay strong and just know as a mom she did the best she could, just let the baby know mom loved him dearly!!!!!!!!
